This system needed integrating with Intel E5-2620v2 Xeon processor, 32GB 1600MHz Memory and one Intel 120GB 330 Series SSD.

The Barebones server we are using is the Supermicro 1U Superserver 5017R-MTF. This is a single E5 Xeon processor server, so it has a memory capacity of 512GB with its 8 x DIMM slots.

It also has the ability to add 1 x PCI-E x16 Expansion card, whether that be a Host Bus Adapter, Raid controller or Server adapter etc, with the use of a riser card. The Superserver has space for 4 x 3.5" hot-swappable drives, or 4 x 2.5" drives with the use of the MCP-220-00043-0N 2.5" drive adapter.

We installed the Intel 120GB 330 Series SSD using the 2.5" adapter. Drives are installed in order from left to right.

The only thing left to install now is the single Intel E5 Xeon processor and Memory modules. The Intel Xeon E5-2620v2 processor has now been installed along with the appropriate heatsink and 2 x 16GB DDR3 1600MHz ECC memory modules. When only installing 2 memory modules in system with 8 DIMM slots its important to install them in theappropriate slots to maximise performace.

The System is now tested for a number of hours to certify it is running correctly. Once the Server is complete, it will be re-boxed and prepared for shipping to our customer in Belguim.
